Runway Beauty: Charlotte Ronson Fall 2008.

Charlotte Ronson’s Fall 2008 runway offered a coquettish take on 1960s mod makeup inspired by Jane Birkin. Here’s how celebrity makeup artists Tina Turnbow and Sarah Lucero used Stila Cosmetics to create the show’s look:

Face:
The makeup artists kept the look fresh by prepping skin with Stila Sheer Tinted Moisturizer. Imperfections were hidden by the light reflecting Illuminating Concealer. A light dusting of Sheer Pressed Powder reduced shine.

Blush:
A touch of Stila Convertible Color in Petunia created sweetly flushed cheeks. Models got a splash of faux freckles on their noses and the tops of cheeks; to try this at home, dip a skinny brush into a brown Smudge Pot and let dry.

Eyes:
Lucero used the Kajal Eye Liner in Smokey Quartz just underneath the brow bone at the top of the crease where one would normally put shadow. She smudged and blended the line to soften the look, and then dusted Chinois Eye Shadow($18), a matte off-white, over the entire lid. In a nod to mod makeup, lower lids were lined with a black gel Smudge Pot and tiny lower lashes were painted onto the models’ skin just at the lash line. The models’ actual lashes were coated with Major Lash Mascara in black.

Lips:
Finally, for the lips, there were two options: Convertible Color in Fuchsia or SPF 20 Lipstick in Charlotte, which might look a little bright in the tube, but creates a lovely lip that’s simply irresistible.
